In 2015 I began photographing portraits in flowers around Portland and it became my signature photo style. I couldn’t quite pinpoint what it was about that process that kept me coming back for more. Until winter came, and the inspiration (and the flowers) disappeared.

Once I learned how much I sought out flowers in my creative process, I started incorporating small elements of floral design into my wedding work and before I knew it, I was designing flowers as much as I was taking photographs.

Fast forward to now, I love sharing my workload between floral design + wedding photography. Both crafts give me the ability to do the other even better.

My flower process heavily depends on local farmers and using seasonal varieties as the ingredients to my flower recipes. I steer away from single-use materials and harmful foams as much as possible and rarely import flowers from out of state to keep things local, sustainable and fresh.
